PowerClaim® Customer Newsletter
March 2006

Hawkins Research Inc. has created a customer newsletter!

The purpose of this newsletter is to inform you about new and future changes to the software, while also providing monthly PowerClaim tips and spotlights.

The spotlight section will highlight a different HRI employee each issue. Customers know many of HRI employees’ names and voices, but rarely get to see any faces.

Meet our staff:
Joanna Carraway

The Customer Support Manager at Hawkins Research Inc. has a challenging position, but Joanna Carraway has certainly risen to the occasion. She began with HRI as a Customer Service Representative in 2003, and was soon promoted as that department’s manager. In 2005, HRI chose to merge Customer Service and Technical Support into a larger more efficient unit. Joanna was chosen as the manager of this newly formed Customer Support department because of her excellent management skills, positive attitude, and tireless work ethic. She is an invaluable asset to HRI, and believes in “getting straight to the point and not giving customers the run-around”. If you speak with Joanna, rest assured that you are in very good hands.

Tip of the Month: Inserting Areas

At some point, you may need to take the area dimensions and/or line items from an old claim and put them into a new claim. Instead of entering the dimensions and/or line items again, you have the ability to “Insert Area” by following these simple steps:

From the Estimates screen, double click on the Coverage you want to copy an area to.

Next, click the “Insert Area” button, located next to “Delete Area”.

A box will pop up showing a chart of all the claims that you have in PowerClaim.

Click the + button next to the claim and then the estimate that contains the area you wish to insert.

Once you locate the area, click on it once to highlight it, and then click “Insert”.

NOTE: Before you insert, there is a box that allows you to choose whether or not to include the line items. This is located above the “Insert” button.
